In the first week of my exchange year I already did many things. Right after I arrived in Las Vegas we went to Los Angeles. My host mothers sister lives there so we could stay at her house. We visited the La Brea Tar Pits museum and the L(os) A(ngeles) C(ounty) M(useum of) A(rt). We also went to the Dockweiler State Beach and Dave & Buster's. After we got home on 8/10 I went to my school for the registration, chose my classes, got a new American phone number and bought some school supplies.
The boys were invited to two birthday parties of their friends. One was at a park near by. They built a waterslide by putting a plastic plane on the grass and pouring some water and soap on it. The other one was on the roof top of the Downtown Grand casino. There was a pool and places to seat and eat. It was pretty cool.
The first day of school started very good. I didn't hear my alarm so I had to hurry for not coming late at may first day. I'll always walk with two other exchange students to school. When we arrived there we had to go to our homerooms for receiving our classes. But I only got a blank paper so I had to spend the whole first class in a room for getting my classes. High school is a little bit stressful because you have to walk long distances in the short brakes between the classes. But every thing went well. Lunch at my school is for free but it isn't the healthiest one. I'll probably bring my own.
Although all of these things I survived my first day of school.
